We have never. And we would never.

We knew you’d come around. Go to shop, choose your product(s), type in your credit card details and wait patiently by the door (optional) until your package arrives. Tear it open, take some pictures and be sure to tag us on Instagram (so we can shower you with love and champagne and feature you in our planet pleasing love club). Then, we suggest you get naked and get to work.

Buying our reusable glass and aluminum bottles and refills remove the need for potentially millions of single-use bottles. Rest in pieces, plastic.

Plastic usually doesn’t biodegrade and remains in the environment for around 400 years. This causes problems, particularly for marine ecosystems. Unfortunately, production of plastic is still increasing. Single-use plastic packaging today makes up 36% of municipal waste in Europe. At Nuniq, we not only say that we care. We take action.

Only 5% of all plastic ever made has been recycled into new plastics. While recycling won’t solve our plastic problem, reusing will. Using biodegradable materials (found in our refills bags and many of our superfood ingredients), helps too.

We all know how the story goes. You could go ahead and recycle empty packaging, but this doesn’t mean it’ll be recycled. Enter biodegradable packaging. Meaning whether the refill bag ends up in oceans, lakes, soils, landfills, swamps, or forests, the full bag – zipper included – will biodegrade and return to Mother Nature.

Paper outside, biofoil inside. To get all science-y, the biofoil has an additive made from a blend of organic compounds which, in the presence of microbes, creates an enzyme that breaks down the long chain of molecules in plastic. This process allows the microbes to ‘consume’ the plastic, leaving behind only water, CO2, and a small amount of organic biomass. All beneficial for plant growth. This is how the pouches biodegrade. This is also why you’ll often find us saying: eat this, nature.

It’s as simple as choosing strawberry over vanilla ice cream. Rinse your reusable Nuniq bottle with warm tap water – thoroughly (we’ll be watching). Empty the full refill product into the cleansed bottle and you’re good to wash, later, rinse, repeat.

We like your thinking. If you’re not ready to refill, store the unopened refill bag in a cool and dry place. Once opened, don’t leave the product in the refill bag.

Let’s see… if one refillable pouch is 250 ml, you use around 10 ml per wash (about 2 teaspoons), and wash your hair “x” times a week… well, we’ll leave you to do the math.

Till death do you part. No, really. Our bottles are made for a good time, a long time or for as long as you like. To be refilled and reused over and over. And if the love goes missing? Simply recycle.

Rinse well after each use and avoid dropping/throwing it – it has feelings.

Short answer: yes. We’re starting small and currently only ship within Switzerland. Sign up to our planet pleasing club to be the first to know about our international love affair. Because it most certainly is happening.

We like that you’re losing control over this. We would, too. All orders are shipped within 48 business hours from our Warehouse. Shipping times vary depending on where you are, but normally it will take from 2 to 4 days. The below timeframes do not include weekends or Swiss public holidays as our fulfilment center is closed, and we’re probably at home making G+T’s, having kitchen dance parties. Also, the post office is shut.

You can return the products you want from your order within 14 calendar days from the day you receive the products and we will issue you a refund.

If you have changed your mind about your order or have had a mistake when doing so, don’t worry! The products to be returned must be in the same condition in which they were received; unopened and with original packaging and box.

Once we receive the returned products, we will check that everything is correct and we will contact you to confirm that the refund is managed. In these cases we will reimburse you for the amount of the products received, but not the shipping costs of the original order.

Damages and issues.

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We will take care of the whole process very easily and at no cost to you so that you continue to love us very much. Contact us at hello@nuniq.com with your order details and a photograph of what you have received so that we can solve it.
